Illustration Study

Our Illustration Study continued this week as kids tried their hands at using thoughtful illustration techniques to add depth and detail to their books. Below you will see a sampling of our budding master illustrators.
These are your children's attempts at approximating what they have seen in our mentor texts for this study:

Facial Expressions that Show Emotion

Split Illustration

Double Page Spread

Source of Light

Showing only part of a character

Double Page Spread; Showing Motion

Motion Marks

Showing Expression and Motion

Sequential Drawings Showing a Life Cycle

Showing People From the Back or Side

Using a cut away to show what is happening on different levels
(upstairs and downstairs, above and below ground)
