Monsters of a New Mythology

Throughout our study of Ancient Greece mythology, we have explored lots of tales involving some terrifying monsters such as the chimera, the gorgons, sea monsters cyclops, sirens, and more. Kids were tasked with inventing their own take on a mythical beast. They really tapped into their imaginative dark places to come up with some creepy creatures that no hero would want to face without some serious support from an Olympian! Lots of innovative ideas and materials were used in their creations, but behold these beasts with caution - they may inspire nightmares!

It is called The Trapper because it builds so many lego bricks that no one can escape and then he spits out lava on top.  There is only one way to defeat him is to use Medusa's head to turn him into stone.

It’s called the Griffator and it can hypnotize anyone.

DF can blind people and Shadow is a sea monster that reflects people’s powers. 

“Lion/lizard and it can breathe fire!”

Half man, half pig that breathes fire.

This creature has the head of a bear, tail is a snake, body of a tiger, and wings like a bird...

Cata-pega-dragon-corn

The unicorn’s horn, if it points at you then you are petrified until someone kisses you. The dragon’s 4 heads (one green, 3 blue), if you look directly into their eyes it will turn you into an ugly goat. 

He breathes fire, sucks up water with its tail and the extra wings on his legs help his heavy body fly. 

“Gronor eats unicorns.  He has a unicorns head in his hand.  The knight is trying to kill Gronor so he doesn’t kill another unicorn.”

Once scientists were experimenting on animals. Accidentally a scientist dropped a formula and it mutated. It has been seen at the beach.
