Our Town Forest Build Day was a huge success! Teams worked together to create some truly amazing tipis (and one lean-to). They were very resourceful in using what materials their chosen area had to offer - one group even scavenged some tiki torches for a festive Polynesian flair! There was also trading going on between "tribes" looking to find materials their territory lacked.
Though the weather was a bit rainy, it kept the mosquitos away and helped the kids test whether or not they could spend a dry night in their structure. Our parent group leaders braved the conditions (and activity levels) well and were great managers of our young builders.
