Today we had a very special visit from the folks at Mass Wildlife! Susan Sacco, coordinator of the Mass Junior Duck Stamp Contest, and an educator from Mass Wildlife. They did a special nature presentation on mammals! The kids got to show off what they have learned about the insect and bird animal groups and connect it to new learning about the mammal animal group. Susan and Meghan showed the skins of many mammals - raccoon, beaver, coyote, fox and bobcat, for the kids to look at and feel. We also got to handle a model of the skulls of each of these animals so we could inspect the similarities and differences. We were so grateful to our friends at Mass Wildlife for taking the time to come visit us and teach us about mammals!
