This week's snow brought out a lot of excitement in our outdoor kids! Walking out onto the untouched blanket of snow on Sargent Field was like looking at a blank canvas waiting for a work of art. Further exploration proved the snow to be the sticky stuff that is so good for making snowballs, snowmen, snow angels, and snow forts. We tasked House Table teams with working together to see which team could build the largest snowball. Techniques ranged from rolling a small ball around the field to accumulate layers, to patting snow onto a small snowball to make it bigger, to creating several mid-size snowballs with an eye toward combining them into one large snow monstrosity! With a lot of effort, collaboration, ingenuity (and fun) there was quite a bit of competition for the title of biggest snowball. Each team and their snowball are pictured below. Once we left the field, it looked like a rather interesting art installation!
