Field Days!

This week first and second graders had their field days. The first graders toughed it out in colder temperatures but second graders had a nice sunny day. All athletes were full of enthusiasm and good sportsmanship as they took the field for the events.

Kids showed excellent teamwork in the races, relays, water games and tug-of-wars.  It was so gratifying to see both teams giving so much effort and so much heart to the games - there was real grit to be seen on the field! Some of that determination paid off with victories, while at other times, we had to call up the consolation of knowing every effort was given for each event, and you just can't win 'em all.  

Thanks to all of you who managed to take a little time off to watch.  It is much appreciated to have fans in the crowd!
