January Town Forest Walk

The snow on the ground gave us a good opportunity to look for tracks and we found lots! Included in the pictures you will see a weasel scat on a log. Based on the tracks in other pictures below, we think it was a fisher (they have a 5 toed foot). We also found some tiny tracks of mice, lots of squrrel tracks, hoof tracks of deer, and a path of fox prints which are recognizable by the straight line in which you find them (their back paws step in the footprints left by their front paws).  We also looked and listened for the birds who stay through the winter. It was a beautiful day for a walk!
